About the Client
This is one of NaNLABS’ clients based in the United States, operating in the clean-energy fintech space. They provide financing solutions and data-driven tools that help businesses adopt commercial solar projects. Their platform integrates with solar installers and enables streamlined lending workflows supported by a modern analytics ecosystem.
Role Overview
We are looking for a Data Engineer to support and evolve the client’s modern data stack. The role focuses heavily on dbt development, high-quality data modeling practices, and maintaining reliable analytics foundations.
You will work closely with their internal Data Lead to expand reporting capabilities, support LLM-powered insights, and help shape the next-generation BI architecture.
Tech Stack
Warehouse: Snowflake
Transformations: dbt (core requirement)
Ingestion: Fivetran (Salesforce + Postgres)
Analytics/Reporting: Excel + Coefficient; evaluating Hex, Sigma, or Omni
AI Layer: LLM tool connected to Snowflake for analytics and insights
Key Responsibilities
Maintain, extend, and refactor dbt models, tests, and transformations.
Define and enforce data modeling standards and best practices.
Build new tables, views, metrics, and domain-specific reports.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and availability across Snowflake.
Enable and optimize data consumption for the client’s LLM analytics layer.
Evaluate and support the implementation of a modern BI/metrics tool.
Troubleshoot ETL/ELT issues and update pipelines as source systems evolve.
Support scalable and reliable data foundations for both technical and business stakeholders.
Requirements
Strong experience with dbt (must-have)
Experience with Snowflake and modern cloud data warehouses
Solid understanding of ELT/ETL workflows and data modeling
Ability to work autonomously and provide architectural/technical guidance
English level B2 or higher (spoken & written)
Nice-to-have: familiarity with BI tools and LLM-driven analytics
