About the Project
We’re partnering with a US-based insurtech company that operates as a Managing General Agent (MGA). They specialize in providing homeowners insurance in high-risk wildfire areas in California, leveraging data, predictive models, satellite imagery, and AI to evaluate risks with precision.
The team’s mission is to enhance compliance processes and data flows, ensuring seamless integration between systems and APIs. It’s a collaborative environment where communication, adaptability, and continuous learning are highly valued.
What you’ll do
Design and execute end-to-end test strategies, including automation and functional testing.
Develop and maintain automated test scripts (preferably using Cypress).
Create clear and structured test plans and test cases.
Leverage AI tools to improve testing efficiency (e.g., generating test cases, debugging, test data creation, and documentation).
Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and operations teams.
Communicate test results and actively contribute to improving software quality.
Own your work and help shape the testing culture across the team.
What we’re looking for
Solid experience in test automation and quality assurance.
Coding ability in at least one language.
Experience using Cypress or similar frameworks.
Good understanding of React and REST APIs.
Comfortable working with SQL, Postman, Swagger, and Git.
Experience using AI tools (such as GitHub Copilot, Codex, Claude Code, or similar) as part of your daily workflow to enhance productivity and problem-solving.
Strong analytical and debugging skills.
English level B2 or higher (spoken & written).
Proactive mindset, team player, and strong sense of ownership.
A product-minded approach. Understanding user impact, collaborating closely with product and engineering, and contributing to end-to-end decision-making beyond testing when needed.
Nice to have
Experience validating AI-driven features or data-intensive systems.
Familiarity with prompt engineering or evaluating AI outputs in testing scenarios.
